How do we record your data?

Service (direct interactions)

How do we use your data?

We use your data to fulfill our responsibilities as mandated by the relevant laws and regulations or any contractual agreements between you and us, and to provide you with the information, products, and services that you request from us (e.g., to establish and maintain your account with us); to provide customer support and address your queries and concerns; to share marketing and promotional information regarding products and services closely aligned with your previous purchases or inquiries; and to ensure you stay informed about general news related to SIM Global Advantage.

We also use your data for our legitimate interests to improve our website offerings and enhance your online experience. Our legitimate interests may also extend to the following purposes: enforce terms and conditions, website protection, anti-abuse, and fraud prevention.

If we want to use your information for any other purpose, we will ask you for your consent and will use your information only on receiving your consent and then, only for the purpose(s) for which grant consent unless we are required to do otherwise by law.

We use Squarespace to host our Service. Squarespace needs the collected data to run our Service, and to protect and improve its platform and services. Squarespace analyzes the data in a de-personalized form. More information about our host, Squarespace, can be found under section “External hosting”.

Transfer of data to non-EEA countries

Information that we collect and maintain may be transferred to and processed inside or outside of Switzerland or the European Economic Area (“EEA”), including to countries that do not offer an adequate level of data protection as per Swiss or European regulations.

What rights do you have?

At any time, you have the right to: request access or receive a copy of your personal data; request the completion or correction of your personal data that is incomplete or inaccurate; erase your personal data; ask us to share or port your personal data to another designated person or entity; restrict or object to the processing of your personal data; withdraw any consent you provided to us to process your data; lodge a complaint with a competent supervising authority and such other rights as may be relevant under applicable laws. Limitations

When you submit a request to exercise the above-mentioned rights, we may require that you provide information to confirm your identity. Please be aware that the exercise of these rights could impact our ability to provide you with all or part of our Service. If we consider that fulfilling your request would compromise the quality of our Service, we may decide to terminate our relationship with you.

Furthermore, the above-mentioned rights may have limitations. We may be entitled to continue processing your personal data even if you have withdrawn your consent or objected to the processing in the following examples: when we are obligated to collect and process your personal data to comply with applicable law and regulation; to assert or defend against legal claims; or when we have other legitimate reasons for the processing that supersede your interests and rights.

For how long do we retain your data?

We commit to retaining your personal data solely for the duration required to achieve the specified purpose. This also encompasses our obligation to address inquiries, resolve issues, enhance, and introduce new services, and adhere to legal obligations as prescribed by applicable laws.

In general, we keep your personal information for as long as you maintain a user profile with us. After this, we securely destroy, delete, or anonymize your data.

External hosting

Our Service is hosted externally on Squarespace, Inc. (Squarespace), 225 Varick Street, New York, NY 10014, USA. As a result, certain data collected and processed on our Service are stored on the servers of Squarespace and any data transfer that occurs between your browser and our Service is technically routed through Squarespace’s network. They store your data on secure databases safeguarded by a range of industry-standard access controls. Secure passwords, SSL encryption, disk-based encryption, firewalls, and other measures are employed to help protect your data. However, no company, including Squarespace, can fully eliminate security risks associated with the transmission of personal information, and you do so at your own risk.   

The external host will only process your data as required to fulfill its contractual obligations and to follow our instructions with respect to such data.

The external hosting arrangement is in place based on our legitimate interest to fulfill the contract with our potential and existing customers and other visitors and to ensure the secure, error-free, fast, and efficient provision of our Service by a professional provider.

Squarespace analytics

We may enable Squarespace to use analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our Service. These tools automatically collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including information about your browser, network, and device, web pages you visited prior to coming to our Service, and your IP address. This information may also include details about your use of our Service, including clicks, internal links, pages visited, scrolling, searches, and timestamps.

If we enable Squarespace to use analytics tools, we share the above-mentioned information with Squarespace, our Service analytics provider, to learn about site traffic and activity.

Squarespace cookies

Data processing

We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned hosting platform. This is a contract mandated by data privacy laws that guarantees that the hosting platform processes personal data of our Service visitors based on our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

SSL and/or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information, our Service employs SSL or TLS encryption protocols. You can identify an encrypted connection when the browser's address line changes from "http://" to "https://" and when a lock icon appears in the browser's address bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is active, data you send to us is protected from unauthorized access by third parties, ensuring its confidentiality.

Fonts (local embedding)

Our Service uses locally embedded fonts. Thus, connection to external servers will not be established in conjunction with this application.
